Hurricane Preparedness for Pets

With hurricane season already in motion, you can prepare and ease some of the stress by having a disaster plan and “go bag” assembled for each of your pets. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Keep all pet medication and dosage requirements stored in your “go bag”
  • Have enough food and water for at least three days per pet
  • Keep a recent photo of the pets in your care should you be separated
  • Try to keep the pets indoors at all time
  • Keep collars with ID tags on pets at all times, even when they are inside
  • Keep potty pads on hand should you be unable to take pets outside
