Scammers on pet sitting sites

I’ve had a few emails come in offering pet sitting positions but I’ve noticed the wording of them is always similar... and not really normal. They post on other pet sitting sites with very similar wording and last night I got a request on Rover with the same feel of these emails. I notified Rover  support and sure enough they found the profile to be suspicious. Just be aware and don’t give out any personal information.

That has happened to me when I post to Craigslist. Bad grammer is always a flag for me.

It has happened a few times to us also and you are right, do not give out any personal information!

Yes, Occasionally I've received these. They almost always ask to move the conversation off Rover immediately, and request my phone or email address or reply to their email/phone address (which I don't do).  Often, the stays are for more than a month, which also is unusual.

Thanks for this heads up.  This is why I never promoted my Rover pet sitting services on Craig's list.
