What brand and kind of peanut butter as a treat?

Hey all,

I’m looking for brand/type suggestions for giving your doggos safe peanut butter?

I use Jif, which my dogs love. But I would say any peanut butter that DOES NOT contain xylitol is okay. Xylitol is an artificial sweetener (often found in sugerless gum) which can be fatal if consumed by dogs. Even if a dog survives it they are at a very high risk of liver damage. So the key is not so much the brand, IMHO, but the specific ingredients .

I don't buy peanut butter to give to dogs as a treat. It's higher in fat, contains sugars, salts, and a bunch of other ingredients, which can trigger a variety of conditions. For other pet parents'dogs, I discuss what healthy treats I stock and seek their approval in advance and/or ask them to provide their dog's usual treats.
